Apart from the previous post (where AER04 was mentioned, the next release on Atmospheric Existence featuring AYBEE alongside myself), I thought i'd update you on some other projects forthcoming...
I have recently finished a remix of KAZUYA KAWAKAMI'S "FOOTPRINTS" on Michigan based MYLES SERGE CLARK'S label RE(FORM) RECORDINGS... Due to drop at some point over the summer on 12'... A Slice of Deep aquatic abstract Techno for the minds eye...

Secondly, I have passed on material to FINALE SESSIONS, Mike Zucker's label... I have heard that both Chez Damier & Mike are feeling it. Mike runs BALANCE ALLIANCE with Chez and he will be releasing X2 tracks over the next few months. The tracks are entitled "ALLEYS OF MY MIND" & "BENEATH THE SURFACE"... Alleys was penned recently and Beneath the surface is one from the vaults! Look forward to that slice of vocal infused wave music dropping on 12'...

Thirdly I have passed over a remix to FRANCO CAGNELLI. The remix is of LEONID - FEEL, due out on 12' on NOWAR in the autumn.

Finally, a track called "CLEAR VISION" is in the hands of Dr. Keith Worthy, to feature on the AESTHETIC AUDIO COMPILATION due to drop this autumn.....

FREEROTATION FESTIVAL JULY.....

I will be playing at this years Freerotation Festival.. Freerotation is a beautiful boutique festival
that draws together a loyal crowd of music heads, most of which have been there since it's inception several years ago. The vibe is second to none, set against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery at the foot of the Black mountains of Wales, on the English side, outside a Town called Hay-On-Wye...
The venue (Clyro Court) happens to be the location of some of my earliest memories of being exposed to electronic music back in the early 90's, where the venue held some legendary gatherings... I happened to be living only 10 miles away at the time growing up as a kid....
Steevio & Suzybee, along with a tight crew of friends work very hard to make this event special and memorable every year. The line up is always a line up of substance, with artists who are truly individual booked to play... It seems hard nowadays to find events with such integrity and spirit, I only hope that the inspiration spreads to others and more organisers follow in this vein... The vision to create a networking community of like minds flies in the face of meaningless hype and trend... I cannot wait to spend several days relaxing amongst friends basking in the true spiritual face of the UK Underground...

End of Summer update from A.E.R. HQ......

Hello all, hope this finds you well. As summer tails off, a sense of nostalgia prevails, casting the mind's eye back over the last few months. It's been a good one. Dare i say it, but I am looking forward to the winter, knuckling down in the studio when time allows and feeling the frost underfoot. It's a productive time of year here at A.E.R. HQ!...

Just a little update to let you know what's forthcoming from our camp.
Been a good year so far, lot's of interesting moments in the studio and a long outdoor summer.. A highlight being Steevio and Suzybee's Freerotation festival nestled in the hills of the wye-valley on the English / Welsh borders holding some special summer memories. Shout's out to crew - Emily + Tom, Grimes, Steevio / Suzybee, Kirk, Alex Downey, Kosta, Gal, Jordash, Bishop X, Lucy C, Jane Fitz, Lerato and Jus ' Ed... Be sure to check this festy out next year if your looking for a House/Techno Utopia!

AER03 is currently under construction, featuring contributions from several people who we are keeping under wraps here at A.E.R. HQ! It must be said that this will be a serious treat for all lovers of the sounds, a varied pallette of honest music will be on the menu, due to drop later in the year, check back for more info....

Next up from myself is a release on London Deep House label "Ornate Music" this october. 12" vinyl release with digital to follow... The E.P. is titled " The Astrobiological Funk EP" containing within 3 tracks - "Interplanetary Visitors", "Bounce Theory" and "Twilight"... This Deep House 3 tracker is shaping up to do the rounds and is currently going out on promo.

Following this into the winter is a release penned for Kirk Degiorgio's legendary
'Applied Rhythmic Technology' imprint (A.R.T.). It's a 4 tracker, with the names "Transmission"and "Zeta" and
"We Stand United I + We Stand United II". Really looking forward to this release. I feel it a real honour to be invited to release on this imprint, one of my favourite labels of all time... Been working closely with Kirk to bring this to you, so I hope you enjoy the Techno flavours on this one, been itching to get some of the darker side of the mind out there...... Due to drop in november on 12" / Digital...

Keith and I are looking at releasing an EP on his Aesthetic Audio Imprint next year, the follow up to
"The Sounds Of The Abyss EP".. Featuring a track called "Clear Vision" which awaits release,
actual date yet to be confirmed. Brother Worthy is currently working on material to contribute to AER03
so keep your eyes peeled for more info on this project...

First up, i'm not in the habit of speaking up publicly, but I feel I have something to say...
Since I started out playing records 16 years ago, I have become increasingly frustrated by the lack of respect for our dance music heritage & artistry output In this increasingly naive era of disposable music, where tracks stay in people's record bags (or should i say laptops) for a nanosecond before being ruthlessly sidelined for 'newer, fresh' material. I've always tried to play music that speaks to me. A lot of new stuff does get in the bag, there is always great fresh music out there somewhere but I also find that I i'm continually drawn back to various cuts due to their continual aural radiance and integrity. These are the sort of records that connect with my mind... even if I have heard them many times before..
I hope people out there get where i'm coming from before passing judgement.... As it seems to me that what we are all presented with now is one big ego ball of media driven competitiveness. This saddens me. Where is the love?...
I believe really knowing every moment in a record allows one to fully harness the dancefloor and the mind of it's occupants by delivering music in a way that goes far beyond words... Favouring quality timeless music regardless of age or release date, rather than 'quick fix' records is the way things roll over here.
For all those DJ's out there with no musical integrity, I urge you to dig a little deeper in your quest and search out timeless music, never mind the 'genre'. Leave those ego's at the door and come soak up the flavours because at the end of the day, it really is all about the music.... So with that in mind I hope you enjoy the journey here, an honest, straight up mix from the soul....... Miles

Just an update to let you all know how things are coming along. My last release on Aesthetic Audio (Detroit) is doing well
and has landed in many a record box, making the charts and bags of
Kirk Degiorgio, Deetron, Kai 'KZR' Alce, Patrice Scott, Keith Worthy, Juju & Jordash, Johannes Volk, amongst others, as well as the following, reviews on Resident Advisor (great review!), Juno recommends deep house, IDJ magazine, DJ magazine *****.. Thanks for the support on this project, it seems to be growing in popularity as time goes on, it's my deepest cut yet, more to follow on Aesthetic Audio this year with a follow up ep..

Meanwhile, back on home turf, my next release for A.E.R. is in it's final stages of preparation. A.E.R.002 will be dropping on vinyl
towards the end of March/early april. It's a four tracker, on a tougher tip, yet keeping the essential elements of atmosphere and soul.
Already getting support from Kirk Degiorgio (ART/B12), Brendon Moeller (Beat Pharmacy/Wave), XDB (Metrolux/Wave),
Arne Weinberg (Styrax/A-W recordings) amongst others.. I will keep you posted as to the developments on this project...

I currently have a remix out under Miles Sagnia for my good friend Patrizio Cavalliere on 'Also Ran' recordings. It's a digital only release, the track is called Pnomh Penh... Here is the link to buy:

The next installment in the series, continuing to ignore the constraints of genre and boundaries of release dates to present an impulsive live vinyl mix, unprepared and unsaturated by trend or technology, just a straight up presentation of timeless music for your listening pleasure fused together with a few pops here and there. Just another audio document which i hope you'll listen to in years to come...
Maybe i should have cleaned a couple of the records better before the mix, they have served me well over the years, but sometimes you just get caught in the moment and the impulsive mind takes over and orders you to drop those beats...

The mix shifts into atmospheric deep space territory about half way in, taking things darker..

I'm all for progression and embracing the future of music, but my love affair with timeless quality music will never change and support it i will, if it's great, whatever the age! So as the mix changes throughout i hope your feeling it's transitions...

Welcome to the place to find all new information in relation to my newly founded imprint..
The project has finally come to light after being concieved many moons ago. The time feels right for some solo expression to see the light again after 9 years of experimentation with sound.
The musical vibrations to come will be served via several releases, with a Planned LP release on the horizon... The artwork for the forthcoming first release on A.E.R. was designed by my friend DJ Matt Pond of Bittersuite/Deepsystems Music..
Release forthcoming shortly. It's been picking up some killer support and airplay, a lovely way to kick things off nicely
